A : Yes, the hoist can lift 200kg.

Q : My ceiling is 2.5 metres high, can I lift my canopy and drive under it?
A : Yes, it depends on the make of your car and your canopy.  The hoist is only 25mm high at the lift point.  It is easy to calculate the height you require from here on.

Q : If I hoist my canopy up, how do I secure it from running down?
A : The FREDLIN™ hoist uses a unique worm gear system that prevents it from moving without turning the handle.

Q : Can I put the hoist up under my car port?
A : Yes, you can mount it almost onto any roof depending on the roof design and its structural integrity. It must be capable of carrying the load of the equipment you want to hoist. The hoist can lift up to 200kg.

Q : My garage is fitted with a ceiling, can I install a FREDLIN™ hoist?
A : Yes, as long as you can get into the ceiling to mounting points.

Q : I have a concrete slab in my garage?
A : The hoist comes with mounting holes that take 8mm anchor bolts.

Q : How strong is the hoist system?
A : The hoist is made of 2mm zinc plated mild steel.  The belts are 50mm webbing that can each take up to 300kg load. We rate the hoist to 200kg.

Q : How many people do you need to operate the system?
A : Only one person is required because of the easy and safe usage of the worm gear system.

Q : Will it lift a single cab canopy?
A : It can lift almost any size, as long as you balance it by means of weight distribution.
